The singer, rapper and producer, who has created hits for the likes of Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Usher and Ciara, reportedly owes authorities in Georgia more than $730,000 (£456,250) from profits made in 2006 and 2007.

Lawyers for the Georgia Department of Revenue recently filed papers in court requesting to garnish his wages from Broadcast Music International (Bmi), the body which collects royalties for artists, until his invoice is paid off, reports Tmz.com.

Garrett, real name Garrett Hamler, isn't the only star to face such a tax predicament - in March (12), rapper Nas was forced to sacrifice his earnings from record sales to the Irs to help cover a $6 million (£3.75 million) tax debt.
