Former PRODIGY star LIAM HOWLETT was so overwhelmed by the international success of FIRESTARTER, he feared he would never do anything as successful again.
The single went straight to number one when it was released in 1996, but Howlett was crippled by the high expectations that followed from music industry bosses.
He says, "People's expectations were so high after Firestarter and that whole period, they were disappointed when we released something that we weren't exactly sure about.
"People's expectations are very low now, which is a good position to be in. It's good to feel like the underdog again."
The Prodigy's fourth album ALWAYS OUTNUMBERED, NEVER OUTGUNNED has just been released in Britain.15/09/2004 08:35
