Prince William - Prince William And Kate Soak Up The Sun At Wimbledon
Britain's Prince William and Duchess Catherine have spent today (27.06.11) soaking up the sun in the royal box at Wimbledon, cheering on British tennis player Andy Murray in his fourth-round win.
Britain's Prince William and Duchess Catherine visited Wimbledon today (27.06.11).
The couple - who tied the knot on April 29 at London's Westminster Abbey - took their place in the royal box in 31 C heat in England's capital to cheer British number one Andy Murray to victory in his straight sets fourth-round win against Frenchman Richard Gasquet.
It is the first time the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - who were joined by a number guests including Bank of England governor Mervyn King and female tennis star Billie Jean King - have frequented the royal box together.
Catherine wore a cream triple-tiered knee-length dress for the occasion, while William sported a dark blue suit and red tie.
The duchess sat alongside Jane Henman, the mother of former British number one tennis player Tim Henman, and spoke to Gill Brooke, the wife of the Chairman of the All England Tennis Club, at the event.
The royal couple are set to start a nine-day tour of Canada and the US on Thursday (30.06.11), which will see them take in Ottowa and Quebec, as well as Los Angeles in the States.
