Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, who were married in the Royal Wedding on 29th April 2011, will visit California this summer, reports Reuters. Prince William and Kate, the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, will travel to the United States in July.
The excursion, which includes a trip to Canada, will represent the couple's first official foreign visit as a married couple, St James's Palace has confirmed. The 28-year-old Prince has never visited the United States in an official capacity, although he has made numerous private trips to the country in the past. It will be 29-year-old Kate's first ever visit to the U.S. Further details as to their Californian destination are not yet known. The couple's wedding at Westminster Abbey attracted a global television audience of 2.4 billion, but instead of leaving the country for a honeymoon, William returned to work with the Royal Air Force on Tuesday (3rd May 2011).
Prince William and Kate Middleton's official overseas trip will include a visit to Canada between 30th June and 8th July. The royal couple will visit Ottawa, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Alberta and the Northwest Territories. They will then move on to the Arctic before travelling to California.
