Prince William and his new bride Catherine, Duchess Of Cambridge have performed their first official duty since their wedding last month (Apr11), welcoming U.S. President Barack Obama to the U.K.
The royal couple exchanged vows in a lavish ceremony in London on 29 April (11) and subsequently jetted off for a relaxing honeymoon in the Seychelles. They returned from their vacation late last week (20May11), and they made an appearance as husband and wife on Tuesday (23May11) in honour of Obama's first state visit to Britain.
The couple welcomed the U.S. leader and his wife Michelle to London's Buckingham Palace. The meeting was described as "relaxed" and preceded a special lunch hosted by William's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, in honour of her American visitors.
The Obamas will spend two nights at Buckingham Palace before continuing their tour of Europe, while William and Catherine will visit California in July (11).
