Prince Plays Surprise London Showby Contributor | 11 May 2007
Prince made a surprise appearance in London last night after announcing a huge number of UK concert dates during the summer.
The musical legend played a set of classic songs at the Koko in Camden, kicking off with some instrumentals as well as some of his famous hits.
During the set Prince played U Got the Look, Kiss, Cream and Let's Go Crazy and a version of Nothing Compares to U.
According to the NME, Prince declared he had "so many hits, so little time" during the show and teased the crowd with Diamonds and Pearls and Raspberry Beret.
The celebrity crowd, which included Chris Moyles, David Furnish and Damian Hurst, looked on in awe as Prince sang the praises of London in between each track.
The gig came soon after Prince's press conference announcing a huge tour of the UK, including seven nights at the O2 Arena - formally the Millennium Dome.
Tickets to the show at the O2 will be cost £31.21 and will include a free copy of Prince's new album titled 3121.
All tickets cost the same amount and will surround Prince's centre-stage design which is shaped like the famous squiggle he once named himself.
