Michael Jackson - Prince Michael Breaks His Silence Over Grandma Drama
Michael Jackson's eldest son Prince Michael has broken his silence amid the family feud following five days of headline-grabbing drama about the whereabouts and wellbeing of his grandmother.
The teenager took to Twitter.com early on Thursday (26Jul12) to thank fans of his late father for their support, admitting he is "really angry and hurt" by the developments over the past week.
Katherine Jackson, 82, was reported missing last Saturday (21Jul12) by her nephew Trent almost a week after jetting off to Arizona to spend time with her daughter Rebbie and rest up, according to family sources, but her grandchildren, Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket became concerned when they were refused access to her.
Prince Michael's teenage sister went public with her thoughts and feelings on Twitter.com, prompting her uncle Jermaine to assure fans his mother was "fine". Arizona police confirmed the family matriarch was safe and well in an interview with her on Monday (23Jul12) - the same day as Lost Hills police officials in California were called to investigate an altercation at the Calabasas home Katherine shares with her late son Michael's kids after Jermaine and siblings Janet and Randy turned up to speak to the children.
Katherine returned home to Calabasas early on Thursday (26Jul12) after telling Abc News she had just been away for a "short vacation" - almost a day after her 36-year-old grandson T.J. had been granted temporary guardianship of his cousins Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket.
The eldest of Michael Jackson's kids has kept his silence throughout the drama, but he spoke out in an extended tweet on Thursday morning, writing, "As I am sure everyone is well aware of the events that have been going on. I have been holding off on backing up my sister and her tweets avidly because I was waiting for the time to reveal my side.
"As long as I can remember my dad had repeatedly warned me of certain people and their ways. Although I am happy my grandma was returned, after speaking with her I realized how misguided and how badly she was lied to. I'm really angry and hurt."
He added, "For this whole time, they (family members) denied us contact to our grandmother. 'If you continue with your lies I will continue with the truth.'"
He's not the only member of the family with grave concerns about the drama over the past week - his uncle Marlon, who sobbed his way through an emotionally-charged TV interview with U.S. news show The Insider on Tuesday (24Jul12) as he spoke about the fact he had been denied access to his mother by doctors, is still upset about not being able to see Katherine.
In a series of tweets he posted on Thursday, Marlon wrote: "Hello everyone Thank you for your support. I'm tired of not knowing where my mom is. I did speak with her last night but she didn't sound like herself. I was told by Janet, Randy and Jermaine that I could not see my mom. Doctor's order.
"But I see them on television with her. How come they could not call me so I could be with her as well."
