Prince Harry Caught Up In Taliban Attack Scare
Prince Harry was allegedly at the heart of a planned attack on a British army base in Afghanistan by Taliban forces, it emerged after senior officials in the terrorist group admitted to targeting the royal.
The Taliban claimed responsibility today (15th September) for an attack on a sprawling British base in the Helmand Province in southern Afghanistan that killed two U.S. Marines and wounded several other troops. The radical Muslim guerrillas told the BBC that the attack at Camp Bastion was to avenge an anti-Islamic film that insults the Muslim Prophet Muhammad and also because their intelligence had revealed that the Royal serving there.
The US led, NATO coalition force based in the country have said as well as the casualties they faced, that some aircraft and buildings were damaged, however they did reveal that its forces killed 18 of the insurgents and captured one.
The Taliban attack came after a series of riots across the Arab world took place in protest to the controversial anti-Islam film was release in Western cinemas outside various Western Embassies and establishments. At least seven people died in protests over the film mocking the Prophet Muhammad in Khartoum, Tunis and Cairo on Friday and amid fears of further unrest.
