Presley Estate Targets Bootleg Dvd Bosses
Last month (Jan11), bosses at Elvis Presley Enterprises filed suit at England's Chancery Division of the High Court in England and Wales alleging Joseph Pirzada was the source of a DVD featuring footage of a 1977 television special called Elvis in Concert, to which the estate owns the rights.
Bosses then launched legal action against Bud Glass at the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of Florida on 2 February (11), claiming he was behind the distribution of illegal products in America.
A statement from bosses at the company, which manages the late legend's music publishing assets and a worldwide licensing, says, "Elvis Presley Enterprises will not tolerate infringement of our intellectual property rights."
