Posh And Becks Fever Hits Laby Contributor | 15 January 2007
David and Victoria Beckham haven't even moved to the US permanently yet but they've already caused a sensation.
After the former England football captain decided to move from Real Madrid to LA Galaxy, tickets at the club are said to be selling like hot cakes.
More than 5,000 season tickets of up to £1,500 have been snapped up since the announcement, the Sun newspaper reports.
Hollywood royalty are rumoured to now be interested in the club, with Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony said to have bought tickets.
"The ticket office has been buzzing with the names of people who bought a ticket. Representatives of Rod Stewart have been in touch, as have those for Steven Spielberg," a club source told the newspaper.
"We've never had so many calls in such a short time."
Meanwhile, as her husband is busy doing his bit for football, Posh Spice is driving the US paparazzi crazy.
The singer-turned-designer was mobbed as she flew into the US to begin her search for a house in some of the most exclusive areas of Orange County.
Beckham's move from Madrid to LA will cost his new club a staggering £128 million in wages and image rights.
