Former NFL player claims marriage is "irretrievably broken"
Oh wow, this is galling stuff indeed for reality star Porsha Williams. It turns out that she only found out that she was getting divorced through the media! Well, um, you can’t say we don’t do our job – too well at times, so it would seem.
The revelation came from her lawyer, with the case for the divorce of Williams and her husband, former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kordell Stewart underway. It was revealed in several media reports that Stewart had filed for divorce from Williams - who, alongside him, had appeared in the currently airing series of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta – last Friday (March 22, 2013). However, she didn’t know anything about it, as according to lawyer Randy Kessler – and reported by Fox News – commented that she was somewhat upset to have only found out about the filing at a later date.
The divorce claim has come from Stewart, citing that his marriage is “irretrievably broken.” Any viewers of The Real Housewives of Atlanta will know that the pairs’ struggle to have children was a plot line of the program, and so will know there are no children involved in this. Stewart has reportedly asked the court to find there are no marital assets to divide as well as requesting that neither side be ordered to pay alimony.
