Police Search Heaton Park For Missing Stone Roses Fan
Christopher Brahney from Timperley, near Manchester, was with friends at the concert before he disappeared around 23:30 Bst. He was among the 70,000 fans in attendance at the concert and had left the venue with his friends, but returned to the venue within the park when he discovered he had lost his mobile phone. He has not been seen since then. Detective Inspector Deborah Oakes, of Greater Manchester Police has urged anyone with information on Christopher to come forward, and added: "Christopher's family are very worried about him and are desperate for any information."
Family and friends of Mr Brahney are hoping to ease pressure on the police who are on the search for him, and have made an appeal to trace him by forming a group on the social media website Facebook. His mother Jane Brahney has also appealed to anyone who might have seen him to contact police, whilst his father, Jamie, has urged the people of nearby Middleton to report any possible sightings as it is believed Christopher could be in that area.
