Lindsay Lohan - Police Investigation Stalls In Lindsay Lohan Hit-and-run Case

The Mean Girls star has denied claims she bumped her Porsche into a man identified as Thaer Kamal as she left The Sayers Club in the early hours of 14 March (12). Her alleged victim initially told cops he didn't require medical attention, but he subsequently checked into a hospital emergency room for treatment and was reportedly ready to press charges against Lohan.

Officers are interested in questioning the actress about the incident, but their investigation has since stalled as Lohan, who has no obligation to co-operate, has failed to get in touch with police.

Kamal has also stayed away from cops - and in a bizarre twist, Tmz.com reports he is being investigated for multiple instances of insurance fraud. The man, who allegedly goes by numerous monikers, is accused of staging car accidents and filing hoax claims.

If detectives drop the case it will be good news for Lohan - she is nearing the end of her probation period and is due in court next week (29Mar12) for her final progress hearing.
