Police Hunt Men Suspected In Lil Phat Shooting

19-year-old rap up and comer Lil Phat has been involved in a shooting incident outside a hospital in Sandy Springs, Atlanta, after which he sadly passed away.

The young musician was found in a parked car on the second level of the parking deck of the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. He was declared dead once inside the hospital.

So far, there is no clear suspect and nobody has been called in by police for questioning although the hunt is on to find two men who were spotted fleeing the scene. There is still no clear motive for the killing and it is still unclear why Lil Phat was at the hospital in the first place, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The parking deck where the shooting is believed to have taken place is equipped with video surveillance cameras, but it is still not known if they captured any useful images in capturing the gunmen.

Lil Phat gained prominence with the song 'Independent,' which also featured fellow rappers Lil Boosie and Webbie. The song, which was an appraisal of woman's independent nature, peaked at No. 9 on Billboard 100 and topped their rap chart too.
