Polaris Prize Shortlist Announced

K'NAAN, GREAT LAKE SWIMMERS and PATRICK WATSON will compete for Canada's fourth Polaris Music Prize after making the shortlist of 10 nominees.
The three acts have been joined by Elliott Brood, Hey Rosetta!, Malajube and Metric, among other Canadian acts who have released critically-acclaimed albums in the past 12 months.
The winner of the annual Polaris Music Prize will be handed $20,000 (GBP13,300). The award will be handed out at the Masonic Temple in Toronto on 21 September (09).
