Pixar Announce New Movie: The Day Of The Dead
The 'Day of the Dead' movie will reportedly be directed by Lee Unkrich, and produced by Darla K. Anderson, who both worked on Toy Story 3 (according to the Telegraph today, April 25, 2012). The animation will based around the Mexican holiday, when people gather to remember their lost loved ones. The story is expected to be an original one, with no "previous source material." No official title has been given to the movie. According to the Telegraph report, 'The Good Dinosaur' will look at "a world in which the asteroid that destroyed the dinosaurs never hit earth and the creatures still exist." Bob Peterson, who worked on Up, will be directing the movie.
The last in the trilogy of new releases was the untitled project, which will also be helmed by another of the personnel that worked on 'Up.' Pete Docter, the director of Up, will be taking charge of this project and all that Pixar have let slip about the new movie is that it will "take you to a place that everyone knows, but no-one has ever seen: the world inside the human mind."
