Pitt Considers Executing Bp Bosses Behind Oil Disaster

Eco-warrior BRAD PITT is so appalled by the BP oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico he wants those responsible for the chaos to be executed.

The movie star insists he's an opponent of the death penalty, but he'd make an exception for the BP bosses behind the 100-day-plus oil leak, which has become America's greatest environmental disaster.

Wildlife and marine creatures were killed as the oil flooded into the sea, and fishermen and those reliant on tourism throughout the Gulf region were left struggling the make ends meet.

And Pitt is calling for strong action when it comes to dealing with those responsible for the disaster.

Speaking on director Spike Lee’s If God Is Willing and Da Creek Don’t Rise documentary about New Orleans, Louisiana, which aired on TV in the U.S. on Monday night (23Aug10), the actor declared, "I was never for the death penalty before, but I am willing to look at it again."

Pitt, who owns property in New Orleans, is one of the brains behind an initiative to create safe, green housing developments in the city in the wake of Hurricane Katrina five years ago (05).
