Officials in Arizona tourist hotspot Lake Havasu are hoping film fans don't recognise the town as the fictional location of new movie PIRANHA 3D - and believe the area is the home of schools of flesh-eating fish.
Director Alexandre Aja turned the area into Lake Victoria for his disaster film, which opens in America this weekend (beg20Aug10), but town leaders are keen to point out there are no deadly fish in Lake Havasu.
Official Jeff Blumenfeld tells the Los Angeles Times, "We’re gritting our teeth - we’re just hoping that the reaction is a good one for the city... We haven’t see any piranha."
A sleekly made thriller with a sparky sense of humour, this is also a rare action movie that has something important to say.
