Pink Floyd - Pink Floyd Pig Flies Over Battersea

Pink Floyd's iconic pink pig has flown over Battersea Power station in London today (26.09.11).

The pig - first flown above the same site for the cover of the psychedelic rockers' 'Animals' album cover - was flown once again, to celebrate the release of the 'Why Pink Floyd.?' campaign, which sees a host of new remasters and previously unheard tracks released by the band.

Meanwhile drummer Nick Mason has said he would love for the band to reunite with the band's two surviving members - Roger Waters and David Gilmour - to play a concerts, as they did for the Live 8 charity concert in 2005, as long as it was for "the right reasons".

He said: "I think that, for the right reasons and not our bank accounts, we would all be able to respond.

"If we could build on Live8 and do something that could actually kick off a foundation, Pink Floyd may have an active future."

Today EMI Music have released all 14 Pink Floyd studio albums remastered as brand new Discovery Editions on CD and are available digitally. All 14 of the studio albums will also be available as one Discovery Box Set.

There will also be the release of the Immersion and Experience Editions of 'The Dark Side of The Moon', extended to feature unreleased music from the Pink Floyd archives.

'Wish You Were Here' Experience and Immersion editions and 'A Foot In The Door - The Best of Pink Floyd' follow on November 7.

'The Wall' Immersion and Experience editions will be released on 27 February 2012.
