Tv - Piers Morgan Wants To Buy A Stake In London Soccer Club
Tv newsman Piers Morgan is desperate to buy a stake in his favourite London soccer club so he can have a say in how the team is run.
The talk show host is a longtime supporter of north London club Arsenal, and has spent months campaigning for the dismissal of manager Arsene Wenger, due to the team's lacklustre performance in recent games and failure to win any trophies over the last eight years.
Morgan has now expressed a desire to buy shares in the club and hopes he will be able to invest at the earliest possible opportunity.
He tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "I wouldn't mind buying Arsenal, especially the way they are playing at the moment. I want Arsenal to be successful again. They haven't been successful for a very long time and I am fed up with it.
"If anyone follows my Twitter, (they know) I don't agree with the club or the manager. Wenger has had his glory days.
"We need to get someone new now who is fresh and who wants to win things. I take a very keen interest in them as a business and a football club. If the opportunity came around in the future to buy a stake or to be part of a consortium, I wouldn't hesitate."
