Phil Rudd's Lawyer Has Confirmed The Ac/dc Star Is Working To Settle A Court Imposed Fine After Missing The Payment Deadline.
The veteran rocker was sentenced to eight months of home detention after pleading guilty to charges of threatening to kill and drug possession.
As part of the court case, he was also ordered to hand over $78,038 (£48,774) in reparations by 20 September (15).
Rudd subsequently appealed against his house arrest sentence, but a judge in New Zealand ruled against him on Tuesday (06Oct15), and it has since emerged he has yet to pay back the full fine, only handing over $32,516 (£20,323).
However, his lawyer Craig Tuck has now confirmed the rocker's payment issue is "being sorted", telling Radionz.co.nz, "As I understand it, (the fine) is being resolved and worked through, presently, so there were a number of matters that were raised on appeal - that was one of them.
"It was to be paid by the 20th of September and of course the appeal was on the basis that it would be paid."
Rudd's legal issues led to him being dumped from the band's current world tour, with former AC DC drummer Chris Slade filling in for him.
The rocker has previously appealed to his former bandmates to take him back now he is putting his personal dramas behind him.
"All I'm looking for is an opportunity to step back up," he told Rolling Stone magazine. "Once I get back my freedom to travel, I'll hopefully be heading straight back to whatever they're doing... I'm very keen to get back in the saddle...
"I was doing hard personally and did some things I probably shouldn't have done. We've all got our cross to bear... With AC DC, if you've got a problem, you sort it out yourself. That's how it works. I've got a problem, so I handle it myself."
