Petra Ecclestone - Petra Ecclestone Wanted 52m House For Dogs
Petra Ecclestone bought a £52 million, 57,000 square foot mansion in Los Angeles for her pet dogs to have more space to live.
Petra Ecclestone purchased her £52 million mansion in Los Angeles so her dogs could have more space.
The 22-year-old beauty - who bought the property from Candy Spelling, the widow of TV producer Aaron Spelling, in June - was concerned her five pet pooches did not have enough room at her home in London, and believes they will be much happier at the 57,000 square foot property, which has 14 bedrooms.
She is quoted by the MailOnline as saying: "It's important for them to be able to have space. I didn't want a modern kind of house. It was a great investment at the end of the day."
Despite the extravagant purchase, Petra - who is the daughter of billionaire Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone and his ex-wife Slavica Ecclestone - insists she doesn't just spend money, and in fact does a lot for charity.
She said: "My full-time job isn't just blowing my parents' money. I go to the occasional party if it benefits my business, or it's a charity or a friend's party.
"It's not like I go to parties Monday to Friday. I'm not on the social scene, particularly."
Petra now lives in the mansion with her husband James Stunt, who she married last month in a lavish ceremony.
After the couple said "I do" the newlyweds and their guests were treated to performances by Eric Clapton and the Black Eyed Peas.
