Peter Facinelli loves the "testosterone" of 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse'.

The 36-year-old actor - who plays vampire patriarch Carlisle Cullen in the movie series - admits the latest instalment of the franchise is his favourite because it is so action-packed.

He said: "With 'Eclipse' , there's even more action, so for me, as a male, it's my favourite because I like the testosterone of all the action, yet you still have this love triangle that's heated up even more.

"It hits on a lot of different themes, like vengeance and the alliances formed between two families."

Juggling his filming commitments with raising three daughters - Luca, 12, Lola, seven, and three-year-old Fiona - means Peter and his wife Jennie Garth don't get to spend much time together, meaning even a trip to the supermarket with the '90210' star can feels like a date.

He said: "Sometimes we're in a store and I'll lose Jennie for a second. Then I'll see her out of the corner of my eye, and she's just the most beautiful woman. And I say to myself: 'Oh, that's my wife, I'm so lucky.'

"Those moments just hit me - and they hit me often."
