Peter Andre Reveals Sad News: Brother's Cancer Has Spread
Peter Andre has received bad news regarding his brother's health. Peter's 54 year-old brother Andrew was recently diagnosed with cancer and tests have revealed that the situation is worse than the family originally anticipated.
Speaking in his New magazine column this week, Peter revealed that the results hadn't turned out as they had first hoped, saying "Sadly, we've not had a great week and Andrew's test results weren't good at all." He added "Unfortunately, the cancer has spread and it's the outcome we were all dreading. We're trying very hard to stay positive but it's really knocked us all for six and, if I'm honest, I'm not dealing with it very well." The 39 year-old singer and reality TV star described how upset he had been at the news and how his family intends to pull together, saying "don't mind admitting that there have been quite a few tears on my part.
"When someone in my family suffers, we all suffer. That's how we deal with things. But you've just got to pick yourself up and focus on a plan of action. It doesn't matter how I feel, I just care about how Andrew feels." Speaking of his own plans to visit his brother, he said "I'm not flying back to Australia just yet as I'm waiting to see what's happening, but we're all in touch constantly and this has brought my family even closer than we were before."
