Pete Townshend: 'I Won't Be Talking About Bandmate's Penis In New Book'
Richards stunned Rolling Stones fans, readers and music fans in his 2010 book Life when he made disparaging comments about the size of Mick Jagger's penis and revealed some of the singer's sexual conquest secrets.
The candid revelation led to a rift between the two old Stones, and Townshend insists he's not about to upset Daltrey by getting too personal in his book, which he hopes to release later this year (12) - just before The Who reteam for a 36-date North American tour.
At a press conference to announce the trek on Wednesday (18Jul12), the guitarist joked, "I don't remember anything about Roger's (penis)... and wouldn't dare to mention it."
But, pressed on Richards' remarks about Jagger's manhood, Townshend added he has tackled the subject matter in his own book - and hopes to redress the balance.
He revealed, "I certainly spoke about what I remember about the size of Mick Jagger's penis (in the book), and I remember it being huge - and extremely tasty."
