Perry Ties Beatles Record
Pop star Katy Perry has tied with THE Beatles for the longest-running number one song on the rock charts.
The 23-year-old's smash song I Kissed A Girl led Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart for its seventh week on Thursday (07Aug08).
The chart-topper is now tied with The Beatles to become the longest-running number one in the rock era for her Capitol Records label.
The Fab Four ruled for seven weeks in 1964 with their hit I Want to Hold Your Hand.
