Perry Blames 'Spider Bite' Story On Web Gossip

The I Kissed a Girl hitmaker was said to have been given a course of medication during the newlyweds' romantic break in the Maldives last month (Oct10) after a creepy critter bit her on the leg.

But the pop star has now taken to her page on microblogging website Twitter.com to laugh off the reports as "false".

She writes, "I've not been bitten by a spider. I'll file this 1 in the ever growing cabinet of false information that has been at its PEAK as of late..."

And when a fan replied, "But you have been bitten by the love bug", Perry added: "Now this is true!"
