Actor Guy Pearce has hit out at fellow Antipodean star Russell Crowe - insisting he brings negative press upon himself.
The Momento star has failed to make as big a splash in Hollywood as Crowe, who garnered huge success and critical acclaim after his award-winning turns in 2000's Gladiator and 2001's A Beautiful Mind.
And although Pearce admits he is jealous of his rival's acting abilities, he insists he wouldn't want the press attention Crowe attracts through his hardman image.
He says, "I admire Russell's talent, and am envious of it.
"But I don't admire the attention he gets. Although I think he brings some of that s**t upon himself."
Crowe has been involved in various altercations throughout the years, and he was famously placed on probation after throwing a telephone at a hotel employee in 2005.
