Peacock Struts On Monday
NBC, which has not been able to put a scripted series in contention for ratings success for years, pulled out the best numbers for a premiere of a dramatic series in three years as Revolution attracted 11.65 million viewers on Monday night with a solid 4.1 rating and an 11 share in the 18-49 age group. It was also NBC's best debut for a drama in five years. To be sure, Revolution had the advantage of a strong lead-in. The Voice drew 13.36 million viewers and a 4.6/12 rating in the key demo. Together, the shows gave NBC one of its best nights in recent years without the benefit of football. It averaged 12.79 million viewers for the night, while Fox was a distant second with 6.46 million and ABC third with 6.22 million. CBS, the usual Monday-night winner, came in last with 4.53 million with an all-rerun slate. Perhaps the biggest disappointment for the night was the poor debut of Fox's new drama The Mob Doctor, which drew just 5.09 million viewers.
