Peaches Slammed For 'Bono Must Die' Endorsement

PEACHES GELDOF has come under fire from her own dad SIR BOB GELDOF - for endorsing a British rock band called BONO MUST DIE. The 17-year-old socialite adores the alternative group, and has listed them as one of her influences on her MySpace internet profile page. But Geldof, who teamed up with fellow Irishman BONO for Live 8 last year (05), is less than impressed. A source tells British newspaper the Daily Star, "Bob knows it's cool in certain circles to mock Bono because he's become such a huge star since the indie beginnings of U2. "That doesn't mean, however, that he is happy to see Peaches endorsing it in any way so he's asked her to take the band's image off her site. "He's a BOOMTOWN RAT and knows about being young and wanting to stick two fingers up at the establishment but the line is blurred for him here."

c'mon, good on her, Bono's an arse, I certainly don't think that the band mean it literally but someone has to make the point when a 'celebrity' starts putting themselves forward unopposed as the voice of the people. Call me old fashioned but I like my representatives qualifications to be a little more valid than having written a few songs for their own benefit. Good on Bono for doing good deeds and using his position positively but I wouldn't for a second assume that he is above the next generations scrutiny and thank god they have the wit and desire to mix things up a bit. more please.....

VERY POOR TASTE AND IMMATURE ACTUALLY. SHE SHOULD NOT ONLY HONOR HER FAMILY NAME WITH PRIDE BUT BE GROWN UP ENOUGH TO HANDLE AND UNDERSTAND WHAT BONO IS ALL ABOUT. ALMOST ANOTHER HILTON IN THE MAKING? JN LV NV USA BONO/BOB GELDORF SUPPORTER

If this is the height of this band's creativity, they'll be long gone quite soon. Getting famous on somebody else's back just doesn't work and you certainly don't get any respect.. Bono is big enough to handle this sort of thing, and it is something that he would never have done to anyone else because he has class and quality and love, and became rich and famous by his own hard work...
