Paula Rubio, accused of assaulting her assistant Felipe Restrepo Betancur, is now facing a  $250,000 lawsuit. Betancur was the singer and model's assistant for around 3 months, until last week when he filed his complaints and the lawsuit.

Filed in Miami courts, the documents claim that Rubio physically attacked her assistant when he couldn't get her a first class ticket, after her original flight had been cancelled, from Mexico to Miami. According to the International Business Times, Rubio kicked, slapped and punched him. A lawyer representing Rubio said this: "Mr. Restrepo ran to an attorney who was representing another individual in a meritless lawsuit previously filed against Ms. Rubio's company Link Tours, Inc... Incredibly, Mr. Restrepo has concocted a fable about being beaten by a woman half his size. Notably absent from this entire story is any reference that this 'beating and humiliation' was documented or observed by anyone on the flight."

Because Rubio considers the claims to be falsified, she'll be filing a counter-law-suit, reports Inquisitr. Rubio is currently working as a coach on the Mexican version of 'The Voice', 'La Voz'.
