First, for the record, although articles related to Paul getting his star read as if he's been long neglected, i.e., the last Beatle to get his star, he could have had it in 1993, but he declined because his schedule didn't permit. Secondly, for once I would like to hear him thank John Lennon for inviting him to join "his" band. His thanking the "boys" is typical (makes it sound like they were his back up band), he will not specifically give John credit for opening the door for him. While Paul is very talented, and acts the nice guy -- it's very important for him to be liked, underneath it all he's very self serving. Before everyone goes postal regarding any negative remarks about St. Paul, do your homework and read beneath the great PR he has.

Secondly, for once I would like hear him thank John Lennon for inviting him to join "his" band. Thanking "the boys" is so typical, almost as if they were his back up. Of course he is unable to thank John because then it would give John credit for making a difference in his life. Yes, Paul is very talented, but beneath that nice guy face he likes to wear -- he's a very self-serving individual who has a need to be like by all, but not enough to be gracious and thank John. Agree 100% with LenThea. I am a huge fan of Paul and The Beatles but everything that LenThea has said is true. I read a very good biography by Bob Spitz that said as much too.
