Sir Paul Mccartney - Paul Sir Paul Mccartney Planning To Re-visit Childhood Home
Sir Paul Mccartney is planning to re-visit his childhood home for the first time in nearly 50 years.
The Beatles star grew up in a small, terraced house in Liverpool, England and the property has been preserved for fans by Britain's National Trust organisation.
The house has been closed for three months to undergo renovation work, and MCCartney has now revealed he is hoping to go back once it re-opens on 23 February (13).
The musician admits he has previously avoided returning to the Forthlin Road house, which the family left in 1964, but is now determined to make the pilgrimage.
He tells BBC Radio 4, "I haven't actually been back to the house (since we left), I don't know why. I don't know whether I am worried that it will be a little too nostalgic... or whether (there) will be a sadness about it that I don't associate with it at the moment. But I will, I will... (go back there) one of these days."
