There is not a shred of evidence that Jimmy Savile is guilty of any offense. However, Mark Williams Thomas can get away unchallenged in the media with saying allegations are proven; presumably proven 'by documentary' rather than by due legal process. It is a disgrace and extremely worrying to anyone concerned about habeas corpus and the right to a fair trial by jury. Paul Daniels may well feel constrained to finger Jimmy Savile as a "bad guy" due to fear of the baying mob. Documentary makers and pressure groups with a vested interest, such as Kidscape, come across as hypocrites since they would be the first to accuse the targets of their hate campaigns.
