Pat Sajak has revealed he used to be drunk while hosting the US version of 'Wheel of Fortune'.
The 65-year-old TV presenter - who used to front the show in the 1980s - used to be able to "tolerate" drinking alcohol before hosting the programme, but he claims it was a different type of show then.
When asked by Dan Le Batard - of 'Dan Le Batard Is Highly Questionable' - if he ever hosted the show while drunk, he replied: "Yes. When I first started and was much younger and could tolerate those things. We had a different show then."
Pat also claims hostess Vanna White would drink before appearing on the word puzzle game show, which would make it difficult for the pair to understand the alphabet.
He added: "Vanna and I would ... have two or three or six and then come and do the last shows and have trouble recognising the alphabet. I had a great time. I have no idea if the shows were any good, but no one said anything, so I guess I did okay."
