Passion Pit Star Halts Tour To Concentrate On Mental Health

Rockers Passion Pit have cancelled a string of concerts to allow frontman Michael Angelakos time to "improve" his mental health.

The shows affected include a gig in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday (16Jul12) and one at the fabled Apollo Theater in New York on 23 July (12).

Announcing the news on the band's website on Monday, Angelakos writes, "In order for me to ensure that there will be no further disruptions, I am going to take the time to work on improving my mental health.

"For now, I'd like to thank all of our fans for their understanding. I hope to see all of you very soon in a much different light."

No other details have been revealed.
