Paparazzo In Justin Bieber Car Chase Could Face Jail
The 18-year-old recently received a speeding ticket after exceeding 100 miles per hour whilst being pursued by a paparazzi car for 15 miles. Although this was the case, police apparently struggled to decide on the right thing to do. A source told Tmz, "This was like a Princess Diana situation. It was not Bieber's fault". A councilman who witnessed the 'tragedy waiting to happen' begged to differ, saying, "Anytime you do 90, the paparazzi are going to go 90". The California Highway Patrol proposed to the LA City Attorney that the photographer be charged under the new law that prevents the paparazzi from attempting to obtain photos through methods that may endanger the public. Coupled with a suggested second charge for reckless driving, the paparazzo could be sentenced for up to a year in jail.
The headlines are looking less than positive for the young star this year what with the said legal issues as well as a further altercation with another photographer earlier this year which saw Bieber having a lawsuit filed against him for assault. He was also recently sued for $9.2 million after a concert goer claimed that a 'soundblast' had caused permanent damage to her ears. Following that, there have been several rumors surrounding his relationship with Selena Gomez suggesting that he broke up with the actress because he 'wanted to be single' according to Life and Style.
