Outlaw's Future Hangs In The Balance

Production on actor JIMMY SMITS' new legal drama OUTLAW has been temporarily suspended amid rumours the show will be axed due to low audience figures.
Executives at America's NBC network halted filming on the programme on Wednesday (06Oct10), sparking claims Outlaw would become one of the first victims of the autumn/winter (10) TV season following its premiere last month (Sep10).
Official viewing figures showed just 4.7 million fans tuned into last Friday's (01Oct10) episode.
The stars of the show, about a U.S. Supreme Court justice who quits his job to open his own law firm, have already wrapped work on five further installments, which could still be aired before a final decision about its future is made, reports Eonline.com.
