O'toole Has No Regrets Over Hellraising Past
Acclaimed actor PETER O'TOOLE would not change one thing about his hard-drinking past, insisting he does not "regret one drop".
The LAWRENCE OF ARABIA icon, 74, made a name for himself as a wildman in his youth when he used to party and fight alongside fellow rogues RICHARD HARRIS and RICHARD BURTON.
And even undergoing surgery to remove much of his intestine in 1975 following a bout of pancreatitis failed to push him into sobriety.
He says, "I do not regret one drop. We were young people who'd been children throughout the war.
"You can imagine what it felt like to be free - not to be bombed, not to be rationed, not to be restricted.
"We weren't solitary drinkers - we went out on the town baby, and we did our drinking in public.
"I am still in the game."
