South African Olympic sprinter Oscar Pistorius will stand trial for killing his girlfriend in March (14), according to the double amputee's lawyer.
Pistorius shot and killed model Reeva Steenkamp at his home earlier this year (Feb13).
The Olympian has confessed to pulling the trigger but he maintains he thought she was an intruder in his bathroom.
His lawyer, Kenny Oldwage, tells Agence France-Presse, "The trial will be in March next year. It will be from the first week of March until end of March."
Pistorius is scheduled to be indicted on a premeditated murder charge on Monday (19Aug13).
The former president was believed by some to have been suffering from dementia during his second term in office from 1984 to 1988.
