Family and and friends of Oscar Pistorius' girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp have paid their last respects to the slain model at her funeral in South Africa.
The blonde beauty was shot dead at the Paralympian's home in Pretoria, South Africa, on Thursday (14Feb13) and the sportsman, nicknamed Blade Runner, has been charged with her murder.
Steenkamp was remembered at a private service in the South African city of Port Elizabeth on Tuesday morning (19Feb13), and the memorial was followed by a cremation.
Steenkamp's brother Adam spoke to reporters outside after the service and paid tribute to his sister, saying, "There's a space missing inside all the people that she knew. It can't be filled again. We are going to keep all of the positive things that we remember... about my sister and we will try and continue with the things that she tried to make better. We'll miss her."
Her father Barry also revealed his daughter wanted to do more to help women who have suffered abuse, adding, "She stood against abuse against women. That was echoed so much in the months that she had mentioned that she would like to have been an activist for that. And unfortunately that has swung right around but I think the Lord knows that statement is more powerful now."
The funeral took place while the Paralympian appeared in court in Pretoria to request bail.
As with his Formula One documentary Senna, filmmaker Asaf Kapadia cleverly uses archival footage to explore the wrenching story of Amy Winehouse.
