Orlando Bloom To Star In Zulu
Orlando Bloom is set to star in 'Zulu'.
Bloom and Hounsou will play a pair of South African policeman who investigate crimes including the murder of 18-year-old Nicole Wiese, the daughter of a championship Springbok rugby player, leading to a dark series of events.
'Zulu' - which is not to be confused with the Sir Michael Caine classic - is set to start filming in Cape Town this July.
Bloom - who is currently filming 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' - was last seen on the big screen in 2011's 'Three Musketeers'.
The British actor played the Duke of Buckingham in the movie and said he based his character on music icon David Bowie.
He said: ''I didn't like the idea of wearing a wig, but I wanted to have a hairstyle that would lend itself to the period. I love Teddy Boys, so that's where the quiff came from. My hair was brushed up and sprayed.
''Paul [W.S. Anderson, director] wanted us to play the characters as rock stars of our generation, and mine was Bowie. Buckingham has the swagger of Ziggy Stardust and wears outrageous costumes. In my opinion, you have to own those costumes, otherwise they wear you - and then you run the risk of looking like a big tomato.''
