Oprah Winfrey - Oprah Winfrey Regrets Starting Her Own Network
Oprah Winfrey has admitted that mistakes had been made on the Oprah Winfrey Network, amidst the news that it was losing money and ratings. The Los Angeles Times reports that the network has gone from a prime time high 1.1 million viewers in January of 2011 to just 263,000 in February of this year. Discovery Communications Inc, who own 50 per cent of the company, have spent more than $300 million on it to make it work to little success.
"Had I known it was this difficult, I might have done something else," Winfrey admitted during an appearance on "Cbs This Morning" with Charlie Rose and Gayle King. "I didn't think it would be easy, but if I knew then what I know now, I might have made some different choices," Winfrey said. "If I were writing a book about it, I could call it '101 Mistakes.' "
