Ono Accused Of Asking Driver To Perform "Immoral And Illegal" Acts
KORAL KARSAN, 50, pleaded not guilty to a charge of first-degree attempted grand larceny in Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday (19DEC06).
He is accused of threatening to release embarrassing tape recordings and candid photographs of Ono and threatening to kill her unless she gave him $2 million (GBP1 million).
Even though investigating officers reportedly discovered hundreds of detailed photographs of Ono's home when they searched Karsan's residence last week (15DEC06), he insists he is the victim.
Lawyer ROBERT GOTTLIEB alleges Ono repeatedly asked his client to perform unspecified "immoral or illegal acts", adding, "I can't and won't go into any more details."
If found guilty, Karsan could face up to 15 years in jail.
