A record number of online users watched a record number of online videos during the month of October, according to a study released Monday by Reston, VA-based comScore. According to the study, 184 million Internet users in the U.S. each spent an average of 21.1 hours watching video on the web. Together they viewed 42.6 billion videos, another record. Google's YouTube accounted for nearly half that number -- 20.933 billion, Facebook placed a distant second with 59,82 million users watching 346 million videos. The music video site VEVO placed third with 57 million but because its music video offerings are generally shorter than videos on most of its rivals' sites, it attracted 82.7 million Internet users.
