Rockers OneRepublic have expressed their disappointment after their new album leaked online, weeks before its scheduled release date.

The Apologize hitmakers, fronted by Ryan Tedder, were set to unveil their third studio disc Native, next week (begs25Mar13), but tracks from the record began surfacing on the Internet earlier this month (Mar13) and the whole project has since been illegally posted online.

The OneRepublic stars have now reached out to fans and asked them to respect their hard work by ignoring the unauthorised downloads.

In a Twitter.com post on Tuesday (19Mar13), the rockers write, "It's 2013, Obviously albums leak. Always. We put a year of our life into Native - all we can ask is if u like it, u support it (sic). Legally.

"And, the legal version comes with a pass that guarantees you prosperity and happiness for the rest of your natural life. Our gift to you".
