One Direction are to headline Madison Square Garden in New York.
The British and Irish boy band have taken the US by storm, scoring a number one with their debut album 'Up all Night', and while they have been touring in country in support of Big Time Rush, they will return to the country in December for their biggest headlining concert to date at the 20,000 seater arena.
Group member Niall Horan said: ''To be headlining our own show in a venue that has played host to countless legendary acts that we have grown up listening to and adore is obviously a dream come true for us all.''
The 'What Makes You Beautiful' group - which also includes Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson - only formed in 2010 on UK TV show 'The X Factor', but have since become a huge hit around the world.
The band were also honoured with an invite to the White House by US first lady Michelle Obama for Easter weekend, after an appearance at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday (31.03.12). However, they had to decline the offer as they will be in Australia.
When it was announced the band's album had gone to number one, Niall admits he frightened a cab driver in New York with his excitement.
He said: ''I was just screaming down the phone and frightened the life out of the cab driver!
''I had to explain the situation, because he looked at me like, 'Get out of my cab!' But I was shocked and shaking.''
