One Direction Sign New Publishing Deal
The 1D boys aren't slowing down for anyone
It’s a well known fact that One Direction earn fat stacks, but their individual stacks are about to get fatter, as they’ve signed a new deal that will see each of them earn on every song they have a writing credit for, rather than collectively.
Fingate, who look after Elvis presley’s back catalogue, Britney Spears, Black Eyed Peas and The Foo Fighters, are the publishing house they’ve signed with, so that’s some pretty illustrious company. A source said: “This is a real statement of intent from the band. They have absolutely no intention of being spoon-fed pop puppets. They want to write and they want to earn as individuals.” And talking of fat stacks – that’s money for all you non-cool people – the band are set to swell their financial clout with a new fragrance. The boys looked Eau so happy to be launching the new smell for ladies, called Our Moment, at a glitzy party at The Gherkin last night. Harry tweeted: “The 1D fragrance is called (drumroll)... Our Moment! And it smells like a summer’s day.” Niall added: “I’ve tested it on my family and they love it — and we can’t wait to show it to our fans across the world.”

It looks as if the skies the limit for the boys, financially that is, unless they decide to become the latest high profile stars to shoot up into space in Virgin’s Galactic program. Fellow popstar Justin Bieber has already laid out the $200k required to hit up Richard Branson’s space plane, and not wanting to be left out of the loop, we reckon it’s only a matter of time before the 1D boys are waving at us from a galaxy far far away. And good luck to them.
