The 26 year-old Olympian took to social media to announce "she said yes!" when he popped the question to fellow ice dancer, Tanith Belbin.
Charlie White is set to tie the knot! The 26 year-old Olympian has become engaged to his longtime girlfriend, and fellow Ice-Dancer, Tanith Belbin, 29.
Charlie White is set to become a married man
White announced the exciting news via his Instagram account on Tuesday (June 8th).
"Couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting for the best time in our life! Hashtag she said yes!!!," he posted, along with a photo of the pair on vacation.
Many people may have assumed the 2014 Sochi bronze-medallist was in a relationship with his dance partner Meryl Davis, but instead she was the first to express her congratulations.
"Congrats to these two! Beautiful girl, beautiful [diamond ring emoji]! Good work @CharlieaWhite," Davis tweeted, referring to the impressive engagement ring.
Belbin has previously stated that people thinking White is in a relationship with Davis does not get to her.
"She gets it," Charlie told People of his future wife in March. "She won the silver medal in 2006 with her partner Ben Agosto, and people were always like, 'Are you guys dating?' It's just something you get as dancers. [Her understanding] makes my life so much easier."
Around two weeks ago, the 'Dancing With The Stars' contender took to Twitter to thank Belbin for supporting him while competing at the Winter Olympics and on the dance competition show.
"The past 6 months have been the craziest of my life- and I can honestly say there's no way I would have survived without these two," he tweeted, along with a snap of his beau and a puppy. "5 years together, but it only feels like 5 days." Congratulations!
