Olympian Danell Leyva In Talks For Spider-man Role
Leyva, who won a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympic Games last month (Aug12), went to see Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark and met with the cast afterwards, and he has now approached producers about potentially taking on a role in the popular stage show, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
A source tells the publication, "He has designs on one of the nine Spidey (sic) roles who do the bulk of the swinging around the theatre."
A spokesperson for the musical, which features a score by U2 stars Bono and The Edge, says, "The producers are excited about the idea of Danell joining the show."
